By unleashing our creative flair through making Chinese lanterns and brushing up on our chopstick skills, we were transported to the heart of China.
Resident June from Westbury Court Care Home said: "I can remember making Chinese lanterns from newspapers when I was younger, but we didn’t get to decorate them with such pretty things!"

Of course this year’s pandemic means that the usual festive trips and traditional community Christmas events can’t take place in person, but we have come up with new ideas to create a magical experience for all our residents.
Residents of St Margeret's Care Home celebrated their heritage for St Andrew’s Day.
We organised lots of fun activities which were all inspired by different aspects of our culture. We kicked off the celebrations with our arts and crafts session which got our residents to design their own tartan.Our residents did this by cutting strips of coloured card and weaving them together to create an eye-catching sett.
Ashbourne Court Care Home celebrated World Kindness Day by showing their appreciation for one and another.
We started the day by getting our residents to share what they love about one and another. We also discussed our random acts of kindness make us feel like one big happy family.
