Care at Avery Mews is about the resident. With close links to the Dewsbury District Hospital, our family atmosphere and memorial garden provide an ideal home.
The Valley Mews section of our home is dedicated to dementia care, which is provided from early onset to advanced dementia. We put the resident and their needs at the centre of everything we do, not their dementia. Each member of our team is a Dementia Friend and work tirelessly to provide a safe and reassuring environment. We have a dementia friendly community singing group on the first and third Friday of every month and ensure our residents are able to access our outside areas with team members.
Caring for complex needs
This is for residents with more complex healthcare needs, and who require the supervision of fully qualified nurses. This might involve frequent medication regimes, wound care, constant assessment, monitoring and care planning.
Round-the-clock specialised service
Our registered nurses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and specialise in providing therapeutic care for our residents. They are supported by our highly skilled carers, who assist with all aspects of personal care and support.
