palliative care at The Cedars

Care at The Cedars has always been closely associated with our beautiful gardens, providing a peaceful and tranquil place for our palliative care residents.

Palliative care is offered throughout the home, and is headed by our clinical lead, alongside our hospice nurse and pain management team. An important part of our palliative care is our close relationship with our local hospitals.

Nursing & Palliative Care

Providing dedicated care we provide a range of professional and personal services to match the needs of each and every one of our wonderful residents. Our nursing unit specialises in palliative care and is led by our deputy home manager who is a registered general nurse.

Caring for complex needs

This is for residents with more complex healthcare needs, and who require the supervision of fully qualified nurses. This might involve frequent medication regimes, wound care, constant assessment, monitoring and care planning.

Round-the-clock specialised service

Our registered nurses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and specialise in providing therapeutic care for our residents. They are supported by our highly skilled carers, who assist with all aspects of personal care and support.
