Wow, just look at this incredible cake that Houndswood House Care Home’s Chef Manager Valerie made for Remembrance Day.
Valerie made a sponge cake to create the book and then piped on the famous 1915 poem ‘In Flanders Fields’.
It seemed a shame to cut into such a work of art but we couldn’t let it go to waste and residents enjoyed a slice with a cup of tea while discussing what Remembrance Day means to them.
Houndswood House Care Home is located in Radlett, Hertfordshire and provides residential care, nursing care, palliative care and respite care.
