Residents of The Branksome Care Home got creative for NAPA Day of the Arts and used nature as their inspiration.
As Harvest Festival is fast approaching, we’ve been busy getting ready for the big day. Our residents love being creative during our arts and crafts session, so our team decided to do an activity for NAPA Day of the Arts which was inspired by Harvest Festival.
When we think of autumn, we visualise all the lovely golden leaves and the satisfying sound of leaves crunching beneath our feet. Therefore, we were excited to use leaves as our theme for our arts and crafts session.
We created various shapes of leaves out of card and our residents had a great time dying them with a variety of colours and adding glitter to make them even more eye-catching. The leaves turned out great as they have a lovely marble effect.
Everyone was thrilled with how they turned out, so we mounted the leaves onto card and displayed them in our lounge window for everyone to admire.
