Mill House Care Home had a wonderful day celebrating the King of Rock 'n' Roll’s birthday!
To celebrate what would have been Elvis Presley’s 86th birthday, we started by creating a collage to a guitar cutout.
In the afternoon we had a rockin’ time dancing to our favourite hits by Elvis. We also had some amazing props, which really got everyone in the party spirit.
Magic Moments Club Assistant Lauren said: “What a great first party of the year! It was fantastic to see everyone having such a laugh!"
We also learnt some unusual facts about Elvis, then we put our knowledge to the test by competing in a quiz about the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
We ended Elvis' birthday by trying his favourite sandwich, which was peanut butter and banana. We paired this with his favourite drink – Coca-Cola.
Resident Mavis said: “I may have found my new favourite sandwich!
Resident Cathy said: “Thank you for all that you have done this afternoon, it was so much fun!”
It truly was a fantastic day and we'll definitely be celebrating Elvis' 87th birthday next year!
