Westbury Court Care Home received thoughtful Christmas presents from a local family.
Last Christmas Day, Quinn, Nicole and their children, who are members of our local community, came to spend time with our residents. They all joined in with various crafts, singing Christmas songs and chatting to our residents. Everyone here at Westbury Court loved every minute of their visit.
Due Covid, the family were unable to visit us this Christmas so instead they made thoughtful gifts for all of our residents. This included a Christmas box, Lindor chocolates, biscuits and a jingle bell to ring on Christmas eve, which had a verse to go with it. Our residents also received a handmade Christmas card.
Resident, Mary said: “It was such a lovely thought for the family to think of us all!”
Resident Marjorie said: “How kind of them, such a lovely gesture from such a lovely family.”
Nicole and Quinn wanted to ensure that their children understood the meaning of Christmas, that it was all about caring for others and giving, not just receiving presents.
Team member, Suzanne said: “So much time, effort and thought has gone into what they have made for everyone, we are so grateful. Hopefully, circumstances will be different next Christmas and we will be able to enjoy their company in the home.”
The family have certainly brought festive cheer to each and every one of our residents this year.
