Wheaton Aston Court Care Home have been busy knitting for charity.
As part of our Harvest Festival celebrations, our team have knitted hats and blankets which will be donated to the homeless via our local church.
We’re really impressed by our Deputy Manager Kate who knitted over 80 hats! It was lovely that our residents’ relatives also joined in for this great cause. They knitted squares which our lovely resident Dorothy put together to form a cosy blanket.
Resident, Dorothy said: “I enjoyed the knitting and it’s all for a good cause.”
The hats and blankets were taken to be distributed by our local vicar. Before taking away the knitted goods, our vicar held a wonderful socially distanced service in the garden, which we all enjoyed.
We’d like to thank everyone for their hard work!
