Team members of Westbury Court Care Home spread Christmas cheer to residents by doing Secret Santa.
Our team wanted to give our residents a little surprise in the lead up to Christmas to get them in the festive mood. We decided to do Secret Santa, which involved us putting all of our residents’ names into a hat and our team members picked out names randomly.
Once all our residents’ names were selected, our team were eager to get them the perfect gift. On 23rd December our Magic Moments Coordinators, Linda and Suzanne played the role of Santa and gave out all of the lovely Christmas presents.
Resident, Christine said: “What a lovely surprise to receive these gifts and how very kind of the team to take part in something like this for us all!”
Magic Moments Coordinator Suzanne said: “It was lovely to see the surprise on everyone’s faces when we took the gifts around to them. Some residents decided to keep them until Christmas day to open and others opened them straight away. Everyone was so pleased to receive a gift. The Westbury Court Team were thrilled to be able to take part in Secret Santa as it brightened everyone’s day!”
Both our residents and team member are very excited for Christmas Day to arrive!
