Westbury Court Care Home made beautiful Christmas table centrepieces.
To make our Christmas dinner extra special, we decided to create festive table centrepieces. We began by gathering foliage from our garden. As a group, we went through the foliage to decide what to use and this made for a very interesting conversation as we discussed the texture, smell and colour of all the foliage.
Resident Pam said: "I really enjoyed making the table decoration, the smells of the greenery and colours were lovely, it brought back so many memories."
Magic Moments Coordinator, Suzanne said: “We had a lovely time sorting through all the different foliage and choosing what we wanted to use in our table decorations. We also used it as a sensory activity, the favourite piece of greenery we used was the rosemary because it smelt so lovely and the variegated holly because of the beautiful colours.”
Everyone was thrilled with how the centrepieces turned out and we think they’ll look great as part of the Christmas décor!
