Dreams come true at Woodbury House Care Home during National Gardening Week.
One nice day, while walking together in the garden, Sylvia and Pat stated that they wanted to do something with the water fountain, which isn’t in use and during this conversation an idea and a Wishing Well request was born as they decided they wanted to turn it into a pot full of flowers!
And when is there a better time than National Gardening Week to make their wish come true?
Resident Sylvia said: “I am glad that my voice means something and the flowers are beautiful.”
Sylvia and Pat had a fantastic afternoon potting colourful flowers and chatting about all things gardening. Many of our residents were keen to get involved and they took it in turns planting flowers. Everyone was delighted with the outcome and we think they've done a fantastic job!
Resident Pat said: “We have planted one of my favourite flowers and now I can enjoy them every day!”
Magic Moments Coordinator Anna said: “The end result is amazing and all residents are extremely delighted.”
