Residents at our brighterkind homes celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee! The homes were decorated with union jacks and everyone dressed up for the occasion.
At The Berkshire Care Home, residents and the team celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee with a street party, everyone enjoyed the buffet style traditional British sandwiches and fancy cakes with cups of tea! There was a live brass band playing old British classics for residents to sing along with! It sure was an afternoon to remember.
It was singing and dancing all afternoon at Henleigh Hall Care Home as residents and their families celebrated the Jubilee with another street party. Everyone enjoyed classic British sandwiches with crisps, cakes and of course a cup of tea. Resident Jane entertained us with her solo performance and everyone joined in for a group sing along!
At Ivybank House Care Home residents made decorations for the home in their craft activities in the weeks leading up to the event. They also supported the Queen in planting thousands of trees across the country, by planting four fruit bushes in the garden. Resident’s family and friends were invited for a garden party where everyone enjoyed food, drinks and lots of garden games.
