At The Berkshire Care Home, we took our Christmas party to the next level this year!
We organised different activities in three different lounges. The first lounge was ‘The Stalls’ where you could by Christmassy bits, decorations and clothes. We then had a ‘Entertainment Hall’ which was full of fun games, music and classical Christmas movies. The last lounge was for the refreshments.
During arts and crafts sessions throughout the year, residents made artwork that was sold at the stalls, the stalls also sold plants grown during Gardening Club and Christmas cake kindly baked by our chef Simon.
The party had to be extra special this year as we had the Wokingham Town Mayor, Maria Gee and her husband Mr Chris Gee, the Mayor’s Consort, join us too. Residents chatted to the Mayor whilst she walked around the stalls.
We finished the fantastic day with a show from Mr Magic Hat which was mind-blowing!
Thank you to The Berkshire team and volunteers who helped to make this event extra special for our residents and visitors.
