"It’s wonderful to see the different generations having fun together”
Here at The Berkshire Care Home, our resident Connie often talks about her happy memories of being a head teacher; her face lights up with the biggest smile as she shares stories of her years dedicated to nurturing her pupils.
Connie was over the moon when siblings Cameron, Charlotte and Finlay from Emmbrook School in Wokingham came to spend the day with us and she could dust off her teaching skills for some fun and educational activities.
The children enjoyed arts & crafts and maths and put their thinking caps on when Connie gave them a series of riddles to solve. Their PE ‘lesson’ was a game of ‘Slipper Soccer’ and you could hear the laughter from the participants and spectators all through our home!
Magic Moments Club Coordinator, Bella, said: “Connie and the children are very good friends now and they always ask to see her when they come and visit The Berkshire. It’s wonderful to see the different generations having fun together.”
