Wheaton Aston Court Care Home celebrated National Farmers Day with a big surprise!
We started our celebrations with a farmers themed OOMPH exercise class, which of course had to include some classics songs, such as ‘Needle in a Haystack’ and ‘I’ve got a Combine Harvester’.
Our team and our tree surgeon, Tom pulled out all the stops by bringing two tractors to our home’s car park for our residents to enjoy! Seeing our residents’ look of amazement when they first laid eyes on the tractors was a fantastic moment for all of us.
We had a great time looking at the tractors and despite the drizzle our residents were very keen to have their picture taken with them.
Magic Moments Club Coordinator, Laura said: “It was lovely to see our residents fascinated by the tractors and everyone loved having pictures taken with the huge wheels!”
Resident, Stan said: “It bought back some memories, lovely idea and you won't believe the price of them!”
