On 18th October, Uplands Care Home in Streatham arranged a musical and dancing show - The Wow Factor - to showcase and celebrate the array of talents of our residents and team members.
Our Team Members put on a great show and donned the fancy dress props. The residents were thoroughly entertained they and joined in the efforts wholeheartedly!
One of our residents Donald who is very fond of singing, sang few songs by Shaba Rank. In addition, Gary, one of our most intelligent residents, played a quiz game with Magic Moments Club Co-ordinator Dacia – everybody was impressed when he scored an amazing 95%! Our chef also pulled out all the stops by providing delicious snacks and cakes for this special occasion.
Magic Moments Club Co-ordinator Muhammad Ali said, “Residents and their relatives thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful evening.”

Every brighterkind home now has a Magic Moments Club which provides a vast range of activities and fun things to do that are open to all of our residents. The idea behind Magic Moments is that just because someone moves into a care home doesn't mean that the things they love doing should suddenly stop – quite the contrary, we believe our residents should have the opportunity to love every day, by doing the things that they have always loved as well as trying new things along the way.
