Residents of Woodbury House Care Home enjoyed a pamper day for National Spa Week.
We gave our residents the full spa experience and they loved it! We created a relaxing atmosphere by playing tranquil music and with all the lovely scents of the products we used, it smelt like a real spa. We had hydrating face masks, which aren’t only great for the skin but look amazing too as they had faces of cats, bees and sharks on them! Our residents loved transforming into these animals whilst they relaxed.
The face masks made our residents feel fabulous, Slyvia said, “I knew right away that I would look better. Just look at my face! I'm beautiful!”
Our residents also enjoyed a relaxing facial and hand massage and to personalise their experience, we offered a selection of creams and scents. Foot baths were also included in our great lists of treatments, which had rose petals and dried oranges in them.
Everyone enjoyed relaxing whilst sipping on a lovely hot drink. Some of our residents also enjoyed reading whilst being pampered. Pat Said, “I had an incredibly relaxing time with a book in hand. I can do that every day!
We were so pleased with how our residents responded to our spa session. As this was such a success we are going to arrange another pamper session.
Our team member Anna reflected on the day saying, “A few beauty treatments combined with relaxing music brought a lot of joy to our residents. There were lots of great conversations and made some lovely memories, so we have to do it more often!”
