“We wanted to make Mother’s Day as special as we could and it was lovely to see our residents enjoying the day"
Residents at Henleigh Hall Care Home were treated to a special breakfast arranged by our wonderful Housekeeper Jackie this Mothering Sunday.
All our lovely ladies received chocolates and flowers and enjoyed chatting over croissants, pancakes and pastries.
Although family visits to our home are currently suspended to help protect our residents at this time, it didn’t stop us communicating with our loved ones and sharing the love on this special day.
Residents were able to watch video messages from their children on our iPads via our Magic Moments Club App and team members helped to set up virtual get-togethers using WhatsApp and FaceTime.

Our Magic Moments Club App is free and is really easy to use. It has been designed to help residents and relatives stay in regular touch by sending video and text messages and sharing photos and stories. As well as being great for communication, the App also features ‘Our Yesterday’, which has information and picture quizzes relating to different eras. Regularly updated, residents can listen to classic tunes, watch old film clips and see what was happening in the world on this day going right back through the decades.
At Henleigh Hall we believe in living life to the full. That’s why we’re passionate about creating vibrant, stimulating activities that will help our residents to love every day. We call them ‘Magic Moments’.
Every brighterkind home now has a Magic Moments Club which provides a vast range of activities and fun things to do that are open to all of our residents.
The idea behind Magic Moments is that just because someone moves into a care home doesn't mean that the things they love doing should suddenly stop – quite the contrary, we believe our residents should have the opportunity to love every day, by doing the things that they have always loved as well as trying new things along the way.
