"All the people working at Westbury Court are real-life superheroes to me and that's why I want to dress up as them."
Introducing Amelia, granddaughter of Westbury Court Care Home’s Magic Moments Club Coordinator Suzanne and our latest superhero!
When Amelia was invited to dress as a superhero for Forest & Sandridge Primary School‘s Red Nose Day, she asked her mum if she could dress up as a carer, “Like the ones from Nanny’s work.”
Before the pandemic, Amelia would often spend time with residents, chatting and joining in with games and crafting activities, she’s truly one of the Westbury Court family and everyone has missed seeing her during the lockdown.
Amelia said: “All the people working at Westbury Court have done an amazing job, looking after and keeping all the residents safe from Covid and being kind and caring towards them. They are all real-life superheroes to me and that's why I want to dress up as them. I can also tell everyone at school how special they all are.”
Nanny Suzanne said: “I know how much Amelia misses coming in and spending time with our residents, but I feel really proud that she wanted to be like our carers. She understands what difficulties COVID-19 has presented for everyone and appreciates what a fantastic team of superheroes we have here at Westbury Court.”
