Relax, socialise, get involved
Whether you’re entertaining your family and friends, spending time with other residents or taking part in activities, our living rooms are ideal. It’s always up to you whether you want to get involved with activities – you’re more than welcome to sit back, relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Spread out across the home there are six communal lounges – two on each floor – three of which are dedicated quiet lounges. They’re where we sometimes hold sensory activities and where residents can spend private time with their visitors.
Our communal lounge spaces are very popular with the residents and they’re where a lot of the socialising in the home takes place, as well as in the dining rooms. And our activities often get residents talking about their lives and experiences in a fun, relaxed setting.
How can residents spend private time with their relatives?
With so many different communal spaces, it’s not hard to find some peace and quiet at Kingston. You’re also free to use any of the home or gardens, or your own room, to meet with your visitors. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, you can reserve an area to entertain your guests.
Are residents free to come and go around the home as they please?
Of course. This is your home and all the communal areas are here for you to enjoy. If you’d rather spend the day in your room, that’s your choice too.
