A team to be proud of

We’re a diverse Group, from different backgrounds and with different roles, but we all have something fundamental in common – every single one of us is passionate about care.

From our Home Manager, Janet Auty, and Deputy Manager, and the care team to our chefs and receptionists, our team is always on hand to help, but with enough empathy to know when to leave you be. We’re very strong on training too – even our cleaners and kitchen staff are kept up to date, everyone’s part of the one team.

Most of our happy and caring team has been here for over five years. We’re people who don’t have favourites, and who are always busy creating the little moments of kindness that make a real difference to life here.

A Home Manager who knows what matters

Janet Auty has worked at Ross Court since 1996 and lives on site with her husband. Her approach is enthusiastic and meticulous, meaning problems are tackled before they arise. Her open-door policy means relatives and residents are actively encouraged to share their concerns.

“I choose to be happy and I want my staff and residents to be happy too,” says Janet. “I will do everything I can with my team to make sure our residents’ lives are fulfilled. It’s not a job to me. I’m here because I want it to be the best.”

All the help you need, all the care you want

As well as our team of highly trained carers, we get regular visits from the hairdresser, manicurist and chiropodist. Other health professionals are also on call to provide services, should they be needed at any time.

Care Homes no longer work on 'staff ratios'. brighterkind homes take pride in providing a higher level of personalised care for all our residents and have in place a suitably qualified, competent and skilled team to meet people’s care and treatment needs. Your Home Manager will discuss the level of care you require before you move in. The level of care offered may be adjusted if your care needs change.
