We have 72 bedrooms, most of which are en-suite, offering residential, nursing and respite care. The home is all on ground level, which means it’s easier for residents to move from one part of the home to another.
Some rooms have their own wash basin and toilet facilities, while other rooms have en-suite shower rooms. We also have bath and shower rooms around the home where full assistance can be provided.
Everything you need
Tewkesbury Fields is built on the site of an old farmhouse so the décor is traditional and full and character. All our rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished to the highest specifications with your comfort in mind.
Your bedroom furniture consists of: an appropriate bed suitable to your needs, wardrobe, three drawer chest, bedside table with lockable drawer, over-bed table, armchair and other furniture suitable to the size of the room. There’s also a flat-screen TV, telephone socket and assistance call bell for your convenience.
Personalise your space
We understand that moving into Tewkesbury Fields will be a considerable transition, but one we try to make feel as easy as possible. Your room is your own personal space, which is why we encourage you to personalise it if you like, by hanging your favourite pictures or bringing small pieces of furniture.
What changes can I make to the room?
We encourage people to make the rooms their own. The majority of residents will bring pictures, and personal items, and some bring pieces of furniture. You can have shelves put up, if you like, or bring your own bedding to help it feel like home. The choice is yours.
How often are the rooms decorated?
Before each new resident moves in we make sure their room is in excellent condition, taking on any redecoration or replacing furniture if necessary. If a resident is with us for a longer period, it might be the case that there room is redecorated during their stay. The rooms’ colour schemes are suitable for both male and female residents.
Is there a choice of rooms available?
There are a variety of rooms here that are charged based on the size of the room and the area of the home it’s in. The rooms range from smaller, non-en-suite rooms, to our 15 premium rooms in the Cotswold Unit, which all have en-suite shower facilities, built-in wardrobes and views out onto the fields.
Once you are living here, if you would like to move to a different room within the home, let us know, and when a suitable room becomes available we will offer it to you before making it available to a new resident.
Are there any rooms suitable for couples?
None of our rooms are suitable for a couple, but we have had couples live in the home using two different nearby rooms – one as a bedroom and one as a sitting room.
