brighterkind Food and Dining

At Tewkesbury Fields, we love our food

We firmly believe that when you eat well, you live well too. This is a core part of our brighterkind philosophy of care, centering on good nutrition and the importance of mealtimes as a social occasion.

Our dining rooms are always set to restaurant standards, so residents need worry about nothing but enjoying the food.

Each day our chef prepares restaurant-style meals combining variety with a balanced diet and an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Our residents get involved in helping to plan our menus, too.

Special requirements

If you have any special dietary requirements or preferences, please let us know on arrival. We are happy to cater to your needs and wishes, however complex.

FAQ

What snack options are available throughout the day?

In addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner we also serve tea and biscuits in the morning and coffee and homemade cake in the afternoon. There’s a supper trolley with hot drinks, snacks, and sandwiches too. In between these services residents can request whatever they like. There is an area with tea and coffee-making facilities for relatives and residents who have been risk-assessed to do so.

Is alcohol served with meals?

Yes. There is wine and sherry available at mealtimes, and champagne is offered on special occasions.

What provisions are made for residents’ birthdays?

We always put banners and balloons up to celebrate residents’ birthdays, and the chef always makes a cake. We put birthdays in the newsletter so everyone knows what celebrations are coming up.
